چکیده

Abstract We consider the transport of gas in long pipes and pipeline networks for which dynamics are dominated by friction at pipe walls. The governing equations can be formulated as an abstract dissipative Hamiltonian system allows us to derive perturbation bounds via relative energy estimates using a problem adapted nonlinear analysis. As particular consequences these results, we able prove stability with respect initial conditions model parameters conduct quantitative asymptotic analysis high limit. Our results established first flow single then extend our spirit energy-based port-Hamiltonian modelling.

Asymptotic estimates and stability analysis of Kuramoto-Sivashinsky type models

We first show asymptotic L bounds for a class of equations, which includes the Burger-Sivashinsly model for odd solutions with periodic boundary conditions. We consider the conditional stability of stationary solutions of Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation in the periodic setting. We establish rigorously the general structure of the spectrum of the linearized operator. In addition, we show condition...

On the Complexity of Instationary Gas Flows

We study a simplistic model of instationary gas flows consisting of a sequence of k stationary gas flows. We present efficiently solvable cases and NP-hardness results, establishing complexity gaps between stationary and instationary gas flows (already for k = 2) as well as between instationary gas s-t-flows and instationary gas b-flows.

Robust asymptotic stability of uncertain neutral systems via LMI and GAs

In this paper, the robust asymptotic stability for a class of uncertain neutral system with time delays are considered. Based on Lyapunov theory, some stability criteria are derived. Delay-dependent and delay-independent criteria are proposed for the stability of our considered systems. Linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach and genetic algorithms (GAS) are used to solve the stability problems...

Approximate stability estimates in inverse transport theory

The theory of inverse transport consists of reconstructing optical properties of a domain of interest from measurements performed at the boundary of the domain. Using the decomposition of the measurement operator into singular components (ballistic part, single scattering part, multiple scattering part), several stability estimates have been obtained that show what may stably be reconstructed f...

Stability estimates in stationary inverse transport

We study the stability of the reconstruction of the scattering and absorption coefficients in a stationary linear transport equation from knowledge of the full albedo operator in dimension n ≥ 3. The albedo operator is defined as the mapping from the incoming boundary conditions to the outgoing transport solution at the boundary of a compact and convex domain. The uniqueness of the reconstructi...
